There's no proof that this African-appearing warrior is a woman, but the breastplates appear unlikely to be worn by a man. Vase-paintings, clay sculptures, and other Iberian art depicts people with African features, and
cultural influences from North Africa
are also visible. Some interpreters see this figure as a priestess with veiled headdress.
